Trees in the landscape, Batheaston beyond

Welcome to Batheaston Parish Council

The Parish of Batheaston is one of more than 50 parishes within Bath and North East Somerset. It is a rural area, with the village of Batheaston running along the River Avon, at the southern edge of the Parish.

Batheaston Parish Council is the most local tier of government, below the unitary authority (www.bathnes.gov.uk).

The Parish Council works to enhance and maintain the parish for the benefit of residents, visitors, businesses and the wider community. We work in partnership with Bath and North East Somerset Council, with the neighbouring parishes of Bathford and Bathampton, and other organisations.

Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic

The parish council stopped holding ‘physical’ meetings from the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, but since April 2020 has held virtual online meetings, open to the public, and has continued to function effectively. Public meetings will only recommence once permitted by government.

Many of the facilities in the village have restarted in some form during the last month – please do make use of these but ensure that social distancing and other precautions are maintained.
