Earlier today, the road sign welcoming people to the village was removed by BANES Highways staff at the request of the Parish Council and Ward Councillors, Kevin Guy and Sarah Warren. This was done because it blocks the line of sight for both pedestrians and drivers on this busy stretch of road which is a route to school for many children.
We will be looking for alternative ways of denoting the boundary to the village in the next few weeks. We also intend to move the planter, on the island in the middle of the road, as this also obstructs visibility.
